“The
Girl Who Cried Wolf”
Once,
there was a shepherd girl who had to look after a flock of sheep. “I was a
woman herding sheep. And all of my sheep, I keep well. After feeding and drinking my sheep, I will be rest
while enjoying this beautiful day. Oh... it`s a very beautiful day.”
One
day, she felt bored and decided to play a trick on the villager. “Uh... I am
very bored. Aha... I have an idea!! Help!! Wolf! Wolf! Help me, please! Wolf!
Wolf!” The villager heard her cries. “What ? Wolf ? Lets help her!” The
villager rushed out of the village to help the shepherd girl.
When
he reached her, he asked, “Where is the wolf ?” The shepherd girl laughed
loudly, “Ha ha ha! I fooled you. I was only playing a trick on you.” With a
grunt he said, “Oh, shit!! You really outrageous.” With an ironic tune she
replied, “Oh man, please don`t be angry. Oke! It`s just a joke.” The villager
left the shepherd girl.
A
few days later, the shepherd girl felt bored again. “Oh my God. Why I always
feel bored in here ? Aha... if I cried again, no matter, right ? Help! Help!
Help! Wolf there! Help me! Save my sheep, please! Help!”
Again,
the villager rushed up the hill to help her and again he found that girl had
tricked him. He was very angry with her for being so naughty. “You lied again ?
Oh a shepherd girl. If you call me once again, I won`t be there to help you.”
The shepherd girl answered, “Ha ha ha ... I am just joke, oke!” “You a liar,
you know!” “Ohh ... it`s so funny. My stomatch is hurt ha ha ha ... Ups, sorry!
Oke don`t be angry. I won`t be joke again, oke!” The villager left the shepherd
girl again with feelings of anger pant.
Then,
sometime later ... a wolf went into the field. The wolf attacked one sheep, and
then another, and another. The shepherd girl ran towards the village and
shouting, “Help! Help! Help! Wolf! Wolf attacked my sheep! Somebody hear me,
please! Help! Help! Somebody help me... hu hu hu”
The
villager heard his cries but he laughed because he thought it was another
trick. The girl ran to the nearest villager. “Why you come there oh shepherd
liar ? You want to joke me again ? Oh ... sorry! For this time, I won`t be
fooled.” “But, it`s not a joke. My sheep have disappeared. They devour the
wolf. It`s all because you don`t want to help me last time when I cried so
scorching dead sheep.” “Why are you blaming me ? It`s all your fault. If you
don`t like lying to people, this won`t happen. Oh the shepherd girl, that is
why I scold you when you first lie. Because, once we lie. Furthermore, we won`t
be trusted again even though we tell the truth.”
“Forgive
me. I am really sorry.” “Oke, but will you promise me not to lie anymore ?”
“Oke, I will.” “Promise ?” “Promise”
Finally,
the villager and the shepherd girl are reconciled and coexist harmoniusly
forever.
